Sophie Sôfree is the co-founder of Wakamaia, a celebration of music, ecstatic dance, art, transformational experiences and crafts by indigenous artisans. Ever since she was young, she was drawn to various spiritual traditions and indigenous tribal cultures, and for the past decade, her path has been dedicated to learning yoga, the healing power of ecstatic dance, mantra, tools to connect with the Earth and life itself.  Her allegiance to the Earth can be felt through her DJ-Sets music, illustrations, and retreats. Through this bridging of traditions, she hopes that the paradigm can be shifted towards a thriving future for all.

You can find her happiest DJ’ing ecstatic dance floors, guiding retreats in wisdom cultures such as Bhutan, Peru & Bali. She is also co-facilitator with her beloved Rob on their Ecstatic Dance DJ Training – her joy is empowering others to tap into their creativity and to spread music and dance in their communities.
